Local Services
Drop-In
This is a once weekly Drop-In managed by Tagadere with the support of the Notts Positive Care Team, Notts Hardship Fund, Metropolitan Support Trust add Terrence Higgins Trust which enables people who are HIV positive to meet with other positive people for social and emotional support. It also gives the opportunity to access the services provided by individual members of the NPCT in a non-clinic setting. It operates from 10 am to 4 pm on Wednesdays. Refreshments and lunch are provided at a nominal charge. It is in an accessible venue in Nottingham City Centre. Go to the news page for an up-date on the new Drop-In
Please contact a member of the team (see below) for further details. There are also Drop-In facilities operating in the North of the county. One in the Mansfield area and a new one just set up in the Newark area, these run once a month on different days to the Nottingham set-up. Both these Drop-In facilities are run along slightly different lines, so if one doesn’t suit try and get to the other service. For more information see the calendar.
We have been having problems with service provision at the Drop-In as some managers of the N.P.C.T have restricted their respective team members access to the Drop-In. These changes were put in place without any discussion with the group or clients at the Drop-In. This problem is being pursued at present. See news update for the latest changes.
